In Japan, Machinery Numbers Flat, Updating High
Installation of newer flat screen printing machines, predominantly Ichinose-7000's from Toshin Kogyo Co. to replace older types, and that of rotary screen printing machines featuring magnetic squeegee and finer mesh for higher precision are the latest trend in Japan's textile printing industry.
There is no interest in Japan in roller printing as mills here must trade up into higher value merchandise. Emphasis is on upgrading of machine performance.
