Delta Woodside makes initial offer of stock to public
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Delta Woodside Industries, Inc., formerly Alchem Capital Corp., last week went public with an initial offering of two million shares.
According to Deborah Kell, first vice president of Robinson-Humphrey of Atlanta, manager of the underwriters group, "strong interest" was shown by retail and institutional investors in the stock, which was offered at $14 a share.
By the weekend the stock was trading at prices of $14.25 to $14.375 a share on the NASDAQ exchange. The stock closed Tuesday at $14 a share.
