DANIA, Fla., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Ground was broken today for the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza at Fort Lauderdale International Airport, the new hotel designed to offer business travelers all the convenience, but none of the headaches, of an airport location.

David D. Katz, president of D.D.K. Enterprises and developer of the Crowne Plaza, noted that of all the hotels serving the airport, the Crowne Plaza will be the closest to the airport's main entrance. He said the hotel will also cater to tourists headed for Port Everglades cruises.
