HARTFORD, Conn., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hartford Insurance Group announced today it registered significant increases in 1986 fourth-quarter and full-year operating income and net income primarily from improved property-casualty results.

Operating income for the fourth quarter of 1986 was $87.3 million, up from $30.5 million for the same period in 1985. For the full year, operating income rose to $302.7 million from $121.9 million in 1985.
