Indonesia still relies on textile as its main source of foreign exchange receipts. Textile and textile products remain the biggest non-oil/gas export commodities, outperforming other export commodities from the country. After dropping, exports of textile and textile products rose by 7.2% in 1995, earning US$6.04 billion in foreign exchange. Last year, exports of plywood, the second biggest foreign exchange contributor, dropped again, earning US$3.46 billion in foreign exchange, down by 6.8% from that in the previous year.
