British Wool Textile Exports to US Decrease 12.7% During 1986 LONDON (FNS) -- British wool textile exports to the U.S. dropped 12.7 per cent in volume in 1986 as a result of the decline of the dollar against the pound, according to the Confederation of British Wool Textiles.

Exports to America dropped to 5.14 million square meters from 5.89 million square meters in 1985, the Confederation said. The decline came totally in the wool area, where shipments dropped 28.2 per cent to 2.94 million square meters from 4.09 million square meters in 1985.
