WASHINGTON, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Malaysian Palm Oil Council today issued the following release on the issue of palm oil and its effects on health:
"Palm oil, the second most popular edible oil in the world today, is under attack by certain American edible oil interests who have made false claims that palm oil is dangerous to health," said Tunku Mansur Yaacob, speaking from the Malaysian Embassy in Washington.
Mr. Mansur is a spokesman for the Malaysian Palm Oil Producers' Council.
