The high domestic and export demand for accumulators has encouraged investors to enter the accumulator industry. In December 1996, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) issues a permanent license to PT Trimitra Prakasa for its accumulator plant project. According to some information, this project will be located in North Jakarta and the plant will have the capacity to produce 1,100,000 accumulators per annum. This project was approved under the domestic investment (PMDN) scheme, and it requires an investment commitment of Rp 124.4 billion.
