Benefiting from outsourcing by pharma and ag companies, the outlook for fine chemicals is favorable, although this growth is not coming without change. Globalization is increasing, as multinational firms look to deal with fewer suppliers. Traditional supply chains from North America, Western Europe and Japan are facing increased competition from India and China.
