JANITORS UNION PICKETS MELLON BANK STOCKHOLDERS' MEETING

PITTSBURGH, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Janitors who are members of Local 29, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), picketed the annual stockholders' meeting of Mellon Bank this morning in protest of the bank's actions last year which resulted in the elimination of insurance contributions and pension benefits and drastic reductions in wages for more than 80 workers who clean two of Mellon Bank's largest Pittsburgh office buildings, a union spokesman said today.
