BARTLESVILLE, Okla., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Phillips Petroleum Co. (NYSE: P) and Anglo-Suisse (Pakistan), Inc., have announced that Phillips Petroleum Exploration Limited, a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum Co., has acquired from Anglo-Suisse a 50 percent interest in approximately 1 million acres onshore Pakistan known as the Thatta Block, where exploration for oil and gas has already begun earlier this year.
Exploration commitments include an extensive seismic program on the acreage and the drilling of three exploratory wells.
The acreage is about 70 miles east of Karachi and immediately west of the Badin Block held by Union Texas and Occidental ...
