USS OLIVER HAZARD PERRY TO VISIT BOSTON
BOSTON, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Navy guided missile frigate USS Oliver Hazard Perry (FFG-1098) will be open for public visiting on Sunday, June 14, and Monday, June 15, when it visits Boston Harbor on the first stop of the U.S. Navy's 1987 Great Lakes Cruise.
The ship is named for naval hero Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, who helped to secure freedom of navigation in the Great Lakes against the British during the War of 1812.
