SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1998--Mitel Semiconductor (Booth 1118) today introduced the MT90220, an eight-port ATM PHY inverse multiplexer and User-Network Interface (UNI) device.

The MT90220 provides a "multi-vendor" PCM interface and is targeted to systems that implement ATM access over existing trunk interfaces, such as customer premise or central office access concentrators and edge switches.
