The independent Police Complaints Authority have started supervision of the investigation into the death of a 29 year old Leeds man in a Police cell today.
The man had been taken to Holbeck Police Station for an alleged public order offence just after midnight this morning. Four hours later he was found collapsed in his cell. He was pronounced dead later.
A post mortem examination was being held this morning.
