PEABODY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1998--Boston Acoustics, Inc. (NASDAQ:BOSA), a leading manufacturer of high performance speaker systems for home, car and computing environments, today named Gateway (NYSE:GTW.N) as the major computer manufacturer participating in the OEM agreement announced on June 15, 1998.
This new agreement, effective immediately, replaces the original contract for the MicroMedia speaker system and assures an uninterrupted flow of Boston Acoustics products to Gateway into Boston Acoustics' fiscal year 2000. Under its terms, Boston Acoustics anticipates supplying increased volumes of a new three-piece speaker system called the BA635.
