VOORHEES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 1998--AmericanAnglian announced today that it signed a 10-year contract to operate, maintain and manage the water quality control facilities for Danville, Va. serving 54,000 people.

Under this agreement AmericanAnglian will manage the City's 24 MGD pure oxygen activated sludge wastewater treatment plant, 11 pump stations and Industrial Pretreatment Program. AmericanAnglian's plan is expected to provide the City of Danville savings of approximately $9 million in operating costs over the first five years.
