From high-school students through retirees, the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps offers opportunities to influence young people as they embark on their careers.

JROTC was founded in 1911 in Cheyenne, Wyo., by Army Lt. Edgar R. Steevers. He envisioned a high-school cadet corps that would make better citizens by teaching young men the advantages of having strong bodies and minds, the value of self-control and the importance of community service.
