SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1998--The Board of Directors of Packard Bell NEC, Inc. ("Packard Bell NEC") announced today that it has named Alain Couder as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
The Board plans to name him President and Chief Executive Officer of Packard Bell NEC on or before Oct. 1, 1998. Couder joins Packard Bell NEC from Groupe Bull of France, where he served as chief operating officer in charge of operations and corporate strategy. Groupe Bull is a strategic partner of and investor in Packard Bell NEC.
