SILVER SPRING, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 1998--Humphrey Hospitality Trust Inc. (The Nasdaq Stock Market: HUMP) announced Thursday that it has closed on the purchase of three Florida hotels for an approximate total of $10.9 million and contracted for the purchase of the 120 room Hampton Inn in Jackson, Tenn. for approximately $4.7 million.
The Maryland-based real estate investment trust and owner of limited-service upper economy hotels, purchased the 73 room Best Western in Ellenton, Fla., the 80 room Hampton Inn in Brandon, Fla. and the 63 room Shoney's Inn in Ellenton.
