OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 6, 1998--American Business Information Inc. (NASDAQ: ABIIA/ABIIB) announced today that Vinod Gupta, chairman and founder, has assumed the additional duties of chief executive officer following the resignation, effective August 1, 1998, of Scott Dahnke, current chief executive officer. Dahnke has accepted a senior-level position with a leading private equity firm.
The company will be reorganized according to markets and functional groups with the group executives reporting directly to Gupta. Reporting to Gupta will be:
