Officials from Northwest Airlines, along with Michigan Governor John Engler and Wayne County Executive Edward H. McNamara broke ground today on a new $26.6 million, 101,000 square foot wide-body maintenance hangar project at the Wayne County Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The project cost includes $4.5 million in state funds for infrastructure improvements.
