NEW YORK, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today assigned its single-'A' rating to Los Olivos Elementary School District, Calif.'s G.O. bonds (1996 Election) series B dated July 15, 1998 due Aug. 1, 2028. The bonds are scheduled to sell July 15, 1998.
The rating reflects the district's:
-- Relatively wealthy population;
-- Low student-to-teacher ratios;
-- High, but affordable debt levels; and
-- Sound financial performance.
Offsetting risks include the small size of the district's population base and a somewhat concentrated tax base in winery production.
