In a move that will benefit North Carolina, Bayer Corp. has announced plans to reorganize its biological products unit with worldwide headquarter offices planned in or near Clayton, N.C. Biological products will become a separate business unit of Bayer's pharmaceuticals business group, with responsibility for the research, manufacturing and marketing of all the company's plasma- derived products, such as the intravenous immune globulin called Gamimune.
