GNI GROUP INC., Deer Park, has been awarded a $9 million contract to recycle more than 3.4 million gallons of Vietnamera napalm warehoused in Southern California, along with the aluminum containers used to house it.
The first shipment was sent to GNI last Monday from the Fallbrook Naval Weapons Support Facility at Fallbrook, Calif., 55 miles north of San Diego, where the material has been stored since 1973.
