Detroit area Pizza Huts soon will have a new look and a new attitude.
La-Van Hawkins, principal owner of La-Van Hawkins Urban City Foods Management Inc., recently bought 89 Pizza Hut stores in metropolitan Detroit and plans to give each one a makeover. That covers all but one location in Pizza Hut's Detroit market and includes both dine-in and carryout/delivery stores.
More than half the Pizza Huts also will serve Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken, Hawkins said.
