MIAMISBURG, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 1998--Dayton Superior (NYSE:DSD) today reported record sales and earnings for the second quarter of 1998. Sales totaled $76.8 million in the most recent quarter, nearly twice the sales of $39.8 million achieved in the second quarter of 1997. Profits rose to $3.7 million, or $0.64 per basic and $0.61 per diluted share, compared to the $3.0 million, or $0.52 earned per basic and $0.51 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 1997.
