LONDON, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today affirmed its ratings on the AXA group (see list below). The outlook is positive.
Standard & Poor's also affirmed its ratings on the Equitable Life Companies and believes the U.S. insurance operations are integral to AXA's global strategy (see related separate press release on Equitable for more information).
The ratings reflect the group's superior business position globally, excellent financial flexibility, and, although aggressive for the rating category, its strong capitalization.
