After investing in Detroit companies as managing director of the Detroit Investment Fund, Elbert Clark is making an investment of his own: He plans to acquire Wintor-Swan Associates Inc., a Detroit-based commercial printer, sometime this week.
The purchase would make Wintor-Swan the largest African-American-owned commercial printer in Michigan, said Frank Cancro, president of Allied Bindery Co. in Madison Heights and treasurer of the trade group Printing Industries of Michigan Inc.
