MIDDLEBURY, Conn.--Uniroyal Chemical Co. Inc. is doubling production capacity of its Paracril acrylonitrile butadiene rubber to 12,000 metric tons at Industrias Negromex S.A. de C.V.'s manufacturing facility in Tampico, Mexico.
The company, a subsidiary of Crompton & Knowles Corp., needs the additional 6,000 tons of capacity to meet its growing sales needs and to make more clean products suitable for injection molding, according to Jeffrey M. Lines, worldwide business director for Paracril.
Uniroyal Chemical hopes to expand its market in Latin and North America as well as Europe. Increasing capacity at the Mexican plant will make that possible, Lines said.
