COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1998--Canon Computer Systems Inc. (CCSI) Wednesday announced that its BJC-255 Bubble Jet printer, Canon's first printer to be sold through the retail and catalog toy channel, has begun shipping at an estimated street price of $139 (an end-user mail-in rebate of $30 for the BJC-255 will run Aug. 30-Dec. 31, 1998, lowering the estimated street price to $109 after rebate).

The BJC-255 was specially created as a companion product to VTECH Industries' popular Electronic Learning Aids for children. VTECH is the leading manufacturer of electronic learning products for children ages 6 and older.
