Forestal Terranova SA is the latest Chilean forest products group to strike out abroad in search of fresh fibre sources to feed its expansion into promising new foreign panel markets.

Last year, the Santiago-based company set out to exploit rich untapped fibre sources in Brazil and Venezuela with investment in forest plantations and sawmills worth over US$80m.
