SAINT PAUL, Minn., Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- A growing number of local Chambers of Commerce in Minnesota and North Dakota have jointly requested that President Clinton intervene in the current labor dispute between Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC) and the Airline Pilots Association. Because the strike has already had a negative impact on many people, communities and businesses in the region and because neither side appears to be moving toward resolution of the dispute, presidential intervention now appears to be the best option for preventing permanent economic harm to the cites and towns of the upper Midwest.
