AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK) and Sarnoff Corporation today announced an agreement to develop a real-time, in-service picture-quality monitoring system for DIRECTV, Inc., a unit of Hughes Electronics Corporation. The system is designed to assure the highest available picture quality on the more than 185 DIRECTV channels and to identify unused satellite capacity that can be used for additional programming.
