YONKERS, N.Y., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Viral Research Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: ADVR) today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued two patents covering newly discovered uses of Reticulose. One, U.S. Patent No. 5,807,839 titled, "A Method for Stimulating Red Blood Cell Production," describes a use of one of the stimulation effects of Reticulose on bone marrow. The second, U.S. Patent No. 5,807,840 titled, "A Method for Treating Canine Distemper," represents a new approach to the treatment of animal viral infections such as canine distemper.
