National City Corp. won't be hanging up its acquisition hat anytime soon.
After announcing the biggest acquisition in its history last week, National City continues to evaluate its wish list of future takeover opportunities, said chairman and chief executive David A. Daberko.
Mr. Daberko said National City will consider 'smaller fill-in transactions' as it works to integrate First of America Bank Corp., with $22 billion in assets, into the company. The $7.1 billion stock deal will make National City the nation's 13th-largest bank with assets of $74.4 billion.
