MANKATO, Minn. - Blue Earth Research has introduced the 'Air-O' furnace filter monitor, designed to continuously monitor the condition of a furnace filter in a residential or commercial heating and air conditioning system, and provide an alert when it needs to be cleaned or replaced.
As a filter becomes dirty, internal air resistance increases while airflow decreases. Initially, this restriction simply reduces heating and cooling efficiency. A further reduction in airflow will result in a more dramatic loss in performance.
The Air-O monitor detects excessive internal air resistance, causing its Check Filter light to flash.
