The Federal Aviation Administration gave Pro Air Inc. the green light to fly up to 36 departures a day out of Detroit City Airport, an increase over the former limit of eight.
The FAA concurred with an environmental assessment commissioned by the city that stated added flights would have no significant environmental impact on air, ground and water quality near the airport. The assessment, performed by Cincinnati-based Parsons Brinkerhoff Aviation Inc., also measured added noise pollution and automobile traffic around the airport.
