'REVIEW' MAGAZINE EXAMINES HEALTH CARE MARKETING TRENDS
WASHINGTON, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The concept of marketing, once shunned by a majority of hospitals and health systems as the "wrong way" to attract patients, is emerging as one of the major tools for all segments of the health industry to gain market share, said the Federation of American Health Systems.
According to a special report in the July/August issue of "Review" magazine, most hospitals now spend as much as 3 percent of their total revenues in marketing programs, and many experts predict this total may reach 5 percent in a few years.
