U-Publish counts on IBM clones for desktop publishing shop
Two San Diego entrepreneurs are counting on a novel idea -- renting IBM compatible personal computers just for desktop publishing -- to help them succeed in the intensely competitive computer retail business.
Desktop publishing -- using microcomputers to produce the sophisticated graphics and clean text that once came only from professional print shops -- is emerging as one of the most popular computer applications. And a Month-old computer retailer, Kearny Mesa-based U-Publish, wants to cash in on this hot new market.
