RAMONA RIPSTON RETURNS TO EXECUTIVE DIRECTORSHIP OF ACLU/SC

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramona Ripston, who in 13 years as executive director reshaped the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California from a small, debt-ridden organization into the most successful ACLU affiliate in the nation, will return to the helm of the non-profit civil-liberties group in September, it was announced today.

Ripston, who resigned as executive director at the end of 1985, has served as vice president and West Coast director for People For The American Way.
