HIGHER FOOD AND GAS PRICES IN SAN DIEGOY;

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Prices paid for goods and services purchased by consumers in the greater Los Angeles area (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties) averaged unchanged in July after dropping 0.3 percent in June, according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Sam Hirabayashi, the Bureau's regional commissioner, said that lower prices for fruits and vegetables, women's and girls' apparel, and gasoline offset increased household utility and furnishings and operation costs. ...
