WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- People For the American Way Executive Director Arthur J. Kropp today hailed an appeals court ruling striking down the Alabama secular humanism decision, calling the ruling "a setback for book-banners and a victory for public education and our nation's school children."

The ruling, issued by a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, overturned a March ruling by Alabama federal Judge Brevard W. Hand.
