UNITED STATES AIR FORCE CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Marking his service's 40th anniversary, Air Force Secretary Edward C. Aldridge Jr. said the key to the future continues to be high-quality, motivated Americans voluntarily serving their nation.

Both Aldridge and Gen. Larry D. Welch, Air Force chief of staff, spoke at the Air Force Association Convention being held this week in Washington.

Aldridge told AFA members that the biggest challenge for today and the future was competing for quality people in a society that is actively seeking these people.
