FREE SUPPORT GROUP FOR ADULT VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE
BEGINS AT LOS ALTOS HOSPITALLD ABUSE
LONG BEACH, Calif., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- A free support group for adults who were abused as children will begin weekly meetings Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at Los Altos Hospital in Long Beach.
Called Adult Victims of Child Abuse (AVCA), the group will assist men and women harboring histories of childhood sexual, physical and emotional trauma.
AVCA was founded by Harvard-trained psychiatrist Mohan Nair, M.D., who said that a child-abuse problem may be so suppressed that a victim may not know why he or she is suffering. He said that adult ...
