Rumor of war: Two newspapers prepare to fight to the last subscriber in Orange County Orange County is a thriving center of business and industry with enough news to fill two newspapers. Yet, the top dog - The Orange County Register - isn't about to share its crown with anyone, even a big city slicker like the Los Angeles Times.
