"POT" PILL MAKER PREDICTS LEGAL MARIJUANA
AFTER FRIDAY DRUG AGENCY HEARINGS
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Marijuana's active drug, THC, has been legal for more than a year for cancer chemotherapy. The only maker of natural THC, Cannabis Corporation of America, has the patent to produce pharmaceutical-grade THC from the plant. As the legal definition of marijuana includes its derivatives, pharmaceutical THC made by extraction is now in two different schedules of control. It is both "marijuana" and "THC"; both illegal and legal, respectively.
