Hesse Marks Anniversary Determined to Finish Task

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Martha Hesse as chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, who says she's there to stay until she's satisfied with progress on completing her agenda.

Addressing speculation about being tapped to replace Elizabeth Dole for transportation secretary, Hesse said in a recent interview: "Nobody has talked to me about being anything other than what I am today . . . I like this job and I intend to stay here. I need to finish some of the things I started.'
