PHILLIPS PETROLEUM ANNOUNCES ALISON
GAS DISCOVERY IN U.K. NORTH SEA
BARTLESVILLE, Okla., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Phillips Petroleum Company United Kingdom Limited, operator for a six-company group, today announced successful test results for the 49/11a-4 exploratory well drilled earlier this year in the Southern Gas Basin of the United Kingdom North Sea.
Located on the Alison prospect seven miles southeast of the Audrey Field, the 49/11a-4 well was tested at rates of up to 23.9 million cubic feet of natural gss ped#ay through a 3/4-inch choke. The well has been suspended pending future completion as a subsea producer.
