Morning Price Rise Flurry Gives Way Following News from War-Torn Gulf
REACTION TO an Iranian missile attack on the reflagged Kuwaiti tanker Sea Isle City, and a subsequent retaliation by U.S. naval forces on Iranian oil platforms in the Persian Gulf, sent gasoline and oil prices soaring early in the trading day Monday.
The U.S. major oil companies even began raising some dealer tank wagon gasoline prices by up to as much as 4.0 cents in the East in one market area, but in scattered areas where prices did change, most only rose 0.5 cent.
