The Highways Agency, in partnership with the ROMANSE project, today switched on 17 new motorway signals, which mark the start of a new era in the provision of information to drivers.

The 17 high-tech signals on the M27 and M3 around Southampton will provide information to drivers on travel within the urban area, in addition to information about traffic conditions on the motorway.
